Ladies - Best Advice and Sites for your Online Dating Profiles

Image
Recently, I've helped a few friends with their dating photos and profiles with fabulous results. Within one week, Miss L has already taken down her profile as she is now dating the perfect guy.  Miss R had 11 messages by the time she got home from our shoot!  Miss T has had several very wonderful dates and is really enjoying herself.  Here are a few key elements that helped them. Men are Drawn to Beauty First  Men are attracted to beauty first so you'll need to make a little effort with your online photos. The good news is that it is your beautiful personality is what will keep him attracted to you for the long term.  Get A Friend To Describe Your Personality If you feel awkward describing yourself, ask your friends what they think and quote them. "My friends say that my most endearing qualities are my smile and bubbly personality." This is from my friend, "Jacinta, you have a beautiful, bright and genuine personality.  Your smile literally lights up th

Free Photo Sessions - How To Avoid Being Tricked Into Spending Thousands

Image
Luring people in with free portrait sessions has been around forever, the language has just changed. Now you will see "Families Wanted" or "Photographer Wants To Expand Portfolio" or "Looking for Mothers and Daughters" or "Kids and Pets shoot for charity". It's all just the same thing. Your Free Session Just Cost You $3,000 You have your free photo session. A week later you go in to the studio to view your photos and cannot resist your gorgeous children on the screen so you spend $3,000 to get 2 framed pics and a 5x7" for your mum. You walk away with an ache in the pit of your stomach. You finally get the framed photos hung onto your wall but every time you look at them you are reminded of the thousands you you racked up on your credit card to pay for them.   Buyers Remorse and Anxiety What you are feeling is feel buyers remorse . Not just because of the guilt you are feeling about the money spent but because you were tricked

On the Couch with Naomi Reiter Photography

I am really not very comfortable in front of the camera. I get quite nervous so this was great practice and as you can see ended up being a lot of fun.  We only did one practice prior to this video and this is a straight take, no editing (other than text and transitions). We used natural window lighting plus the lamp in the background for ambience because we wanted the living room affect. I definitely think this will be an ongoing event. New Plymouth, New Zealand - Just Like Oregon, USA

Image
As I approach my upcoming New Zealand trip, I find myself reminiscing about our last little adventure.  Our travels led us from Cambridge on the North Island, South West to New Plymouth by way of Lake Taupo. The imposing Mount Taranaki  volcano and the quaintness of the seaside buildings, reminded us immediately of Oregon, USA .  It was like having Mt Hood and Cannon Beach all in one place. Of course, just add the super friendly New Zealander's and you have the perfect little get away. The State Hotel , an absolutely gorgeous quaint boutique hotel on Devon Street right in the heart of New Plymouth was our home for the next two nights. The Common Sitting room in The State Hotel, Devon Street, New Plymouth Hallway to our room, State Hotel The entrance to The State Hotel and our bedroom .  We found the perfect little Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant for dinner, Loving Hut , just down the street from the hotel. The food was not only fabulous but extremely

Location Headshots Give A Consistent Professional Look To Company Website

Image
Business Headshots photographed on Location in Sydney CONSISTENT IMAGES COMMUNICATE PROFESSINALISM... As well as getting images of the entire available staff at once, what I love about location shoots is that the client gets a consistent look across all of their images. This in turn gives their website a uniformity that communicates professionalism. When the "ABOUT" page on a website hosts a number of images which are inconsistent, it makes that company look in incohesive, or even disjointed. TRY MAKING THE SHOOT AT THE SAME TIME AS THE BOARD MEETING... The gear and the photographer also make a difference. We had another photographer shoot in another State with my instructions and the images were completely different. So I guess the only real way to get true consistency is to use the same photographer as best as the budget allows. Sometimes this means waiting for the next board meeting and doing the photo session then! Nina Beilby is a professional photogr

Rustic Australian Countryside - The small town of Rylstone

One of the Dam's looking toward Kandos  On the property, Lindoway looking back toward The Shed  It happened. A rare weekend when I wasn't shooting for a client! So I threw the camera in the car and headed three hours out of Sydney to  the Central Tablelands.  I visited a friend's property, Lindoway, in  Rylstone ,  a small town with a population of 615 people and at least 10 times that in sheep! View toward the town of Kandos There are 65 sheep on Lindoway and this is as close as I could get as they are quite skittish. The leader sheep lets out a massive Baa (he tried to sound scary but Baa still sounds cute to me) then they all take off.  Today is particularly warm 30 degrees celsius but it did cool considerably in the evening.  There don't seem to be any mosquitos but the flies certainly make up for it. The great Aussie salute probably originated here! So many flies... There are always jobs to do on a property a
